THE CHALLENGE
As early as 1990, the HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe decided to outsource its debt collection. The aim was, among other things, to streamline internal structures, to significantly optimise revenue from debt collection and to obtain specialist legal support in collection-related legal issues.
SOLUTION BY KSP
For 25 years, KSP has been working successfully with the HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe as a legal debt collection service provider in a partnership and solution-oriented manner. The tasks taken on by KSP include in particular:
- a cross-sector, extrajudicial and judicial collection of non-performing premium and recourse claims as well a
- supporting and advising the HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe in matters of insurance contract law, optimising process flows and proactively implementing statutory and regulatory requirements.
The HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe is a service-oriented, traditional, medium-sized insurer based in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. It emerged in 1969 from a merger of the two health insurers Hanseatische Krankenversicherung von 1875 Merkur VVaG and Hanse-Krankenschutz VVaG in Hamburg to form HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung auf Gegenseitigkeit, which then became the building block for the expansion into the later HanseMerkur Insurance Group. As an all-lines insurer, the HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe offers private and business customers individual cover for private, business and professional risks.

The sometimes serious changes in the legal framework conditions, such as most recently the changeover to the emergency tariff in substitutive health insurance, the introduction of SEPA, etc., were supported and implemented by KSP in a proactive, timely and professionally competent manner.
